A week in New York for the holiday season meant cold, cold weather. It may not look it, but I was freezing in almost every photo (lol). Now as the year is coming to an end, I can’t help but look back at 2018. I didn’t realize how much I grew or how much I learned this year. So I can only imagine what possibilities are to come in 2019. I’m not one to make New Years goals or say “New Year, New Me” but I do hope to leave some negative things behind. The real difficulty is to overcome how we think about ourselves. So a few things to quit:

1. Trying to please others instead of yourself

2. Fearing change

3. Putting yourself down and comparing yourself to others

4. Believing that ‘happiness’ lies somewhere else — in the next job, next place, next relationship. Until you quit that idea, happiness will never be where you are.

5. Assuming others are problem-free, everyone struggles with their own battles. Lend a hand and a good heart.

6. and most of all quit thinking you’re alone. For every person who brings you down, there are 10 others who will lift you up, if you let them.
