derived from the word gharb, meaning West. The word Gharib means mysterious/traveler/stranger; connected to the idea of the Western world being foreign land to the Middle East. It is also my last name (lol) and a combination of my cultures.

I am simplyGharib

This blog began as a place to share my travel itineraries with friends and family, but it’s evolved to include more and more of me.

Aside from being a full-time NY architect, I am the editor behind Simply Gharib. a digital journal of my personality, travel, and style aesthetics. the inspiration behind Simply Gharib is mirrored in my own life. Simply put, I try to communicate real experiences, my travels, and a dose of outfit inspiration — simply because I love to share with others.

"I want you to wake up every day with gratitude and love in your heart for who you are. I want you to book that trip you've been putting off for months. To create your own visual style. Let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others. I want you to protect your mind and body from negativity. My mother taught me life is a beautiful journey, but with a time limit. So make the most of every second you have and cherish it"

trust ME, I AM you
